The interstate highway system was a supporter of the highway. it was 41 thousand miles of four lane roads, it needed 16000 entrance ramps and 55,000 bridges. the grand cost totaled around129 billion.

Saving Private Ryan assignment

Saving private Ryan is a movie that is set in WW2 time. Captain John Miller is the leader of the eight men who were dispatched and sent on a mission to find private Ryan and return him home. The beginning scenes were of the gruesome battle that took place in Normandy. the 8 soldiers that were on the mission to find Ryan becomes frustrated because it seem like they were on a wild goose chase. they didn't know if Ryan was alive, dead, or behind enemy lines.

Cpl. Timothy Upham

Timothy seemed to be the most interesting character of them all. I admired how he spoke a total of 3 languages (English, German, and French) was able to communicate with many of the people that captain Miller's platoon encountered. He seemed to be the one of the most effected by the war and he constantly froze. cpl.upham is a straight headed guy and follows the rules. he is very moral and compassionate, because, to me, he seemed like he viewed the Axis Power soldiers as people, humans.

How Would I Have done in the war?

I would not have done well. watching that movie helped me realize how gruesome these battles were. But, then again, you never really know how strong you are until you are in a situation that requires strength.
